Details & Condition: An amazing vintage New York made platinum engagement ring mount which is truly a gorgeous piece in person.
The pear and round diamonds sit high on an elevated basket style platform and glint and sparkle with every movement.
This mount is approximately 60 years old and according to the limited history we have it was made and purchased in NY and has had one owner.
There are eight (8) pear shaped Diamonds on the outside rim that are intertwined with a further eight (8) round sparkling stones, the inner halo has 8 smaller diamonds and the empty center mount can accommodate approx 1ct round stone.
The face of the ring measures an impressive 0.75 of an inch in diameter.
When worn it is approx 0.42 of an inch high from the finger.
As all the stones are mounted we have conservatively estimated the total carat weight to be 2.25 (although it looks much more!)
We are not GIA certified diamond graders -and there are a lot of stones -but we can give you an guideline :)
All Diamonds are eye clean, no big clumps of black carbon, approx H-I color.
You will not be disappointed with this mount, it is an "oldie but good one" looks quality, feels quality and is undoubtedly is quality.
