Exceptionally Rare and Highly Important Isis Pattern 3 piece Bachelor's Tea Set in Sterling Silver by Gorham Manufacturing Company. This Isis pattern was patented in 1870 and has a striking Egyptian Revival motif with the winged serpent handles.
Despite our best efforts we could not find any records of a bachelor's teapot in the Isis pattern .
The tea set has a hand engraved monogram of the original owner on all pieces and the date of 1871.

Condition: This very rare set is in original condition - there are normal signs of age use and storage - notable points are one of the hollow feet on the milk jug has a 4.5mm split in the silver from age and there is a ding on the side of the teapot.
