Condition: This great cigarette case is well over 100 years old,it has an inscription inside in German that is dated 1912 - Just before WWI - Helpful! As what is written is in German I cannot tell you what it says - but it is very possible a presentation piece to a military person - If anyone could translate we would love to know what it says. When we received this piece it had very heavy patina - Black to be exact ! We have just cleaned it up enough for the photograph so you can see the design on the inside and out - There is surface marks but no major dings or dents. The original elastic has long gone. The clasp / closure works perfectly. Preowned and in good usable condition. Please ask all questions before purchase. Thank you!.
